This "May 2018 Normative Ballot" has been provided to solicit feedback on a number of substantive changes made to the CDA R2.1 since the Sept. 2017 Normative Ballot.
The following are the substantive changes that were made:
- In section 5.3.6.8 SubstanceAdministration, SubstanceAdministration.consumable relationship shall be 0..1 rather than 1..1 (or declared conditional).
- In section 5.2.3.5.4 HealthCareFacility the binding on it's class code should not be fixed to SDLOC, but rather SDLOC should be defaulted out of the V:RoleClassServiceDeliveryLocation value set. In the CDA R2.0 schema this was a defaulted and not a fixed binding.
- In the datatypes.xsd schema, a definition has been created for the IVL_RTO data type. This was originally supported by the Normative standard for Data Types R1, but not expressed in the schema provided with CDA R2.0. It has been added to CDA R2.1 package to support ObservationRange use cases.
